Phal Equistris peloric 'Gino' JC/AOS
1 Attachment(s)
Here is the little bugger :)
I never heard of awarding the peloric form of an orchid while it's non peloric form goes unrecognized .. :scratchhead: |
Gino's a beauty, Dorothy! I, myself, prefer peloric forms... this also has particularly nice colour.
|
I too, like the peloric more so. But this is what I ended up with .. I have yet to contact Baldan's .. my bad :blushing:
|
Oh it's cute! I love equestris. I want the white one with the bright yellow lip. It's on my list of must haves. :)
|
You have var. aurea and var. alba to chose from :)

Dorothy, that phals.net page is awesome! Thanks for the link. I have a little baby equestris - no idea what its going to look like, but I'll probably need to wait a few years before I will know. What size is the leaf spread on your's?
|
Lovely, D!
Phal equestris may just be my favorite phal of all! |

The longest leaf - tip to crown is 6 inches. I have a kieki of a Phal equistris 'River bend' x 'Zuma Beach' and it had 2 spikes when I purchased it. It's leaves were merely a couple of inches long. See photo :)

The reason for my statement was from what Baldan's Orchids said - and I quote
"THIS ONE IS A SPECIES EQUESTRIS "GINO"JC/AOS PELORIC, AND HAS BEEN AWARDED FOR IT'S BEAUTIFUL LARGE PELORIC FLOWERS. WE DO HOWEVER HAVE NON PELORIC GINO'S BUT THEY HAVE NOT BEEN AWARDED" This is the cause of my wonderment. |
