Temperatures have risen and spring growth has begun. Yay!
The other day it was gently raining and temperatures were cool but not cold, so several plants were transported outside for an overnight soaking.
The next day I brought them in, but with them came a host of hitchhikers!!
Paphs
villosum and
gratrixianum. They hadn't done anything all winter, but now one is starting to grow a new leaf. I take it as a good sign.
Pineapple has waited patiently for warm weather to return. It has even grown some this winter, I think.
This unidentified
Phalænopsis was only $3 on clearance at L***'s. Unfortunately, it tested positive for a virus (ORSV).
This is another discount NoID
Phal from the same place. I love it! There's just something about mounted orchids in bloom.
Backlit flowers are so nice.
The Amaryllis (
Hippeastrum) have grown a lot since last update. I'm excited about the show they are about to put on. I have never seen them in bloom, so I don't know what to expect!
See you again in April. By then, we will be very close to taking plants outside for the summer.
Thanks for joining us!
