Wow your Oncidium maculatum are amazing! I have never seen these types of orchids before. Thank you for sharing!

Default February Update

Not much in bloom this month. Lots of things in spike and bud though, taking their sweet time!

Not orchids, but these Hippeastrums are coming up after being in the garage since November. Two are developing flower stalks, which I'm thrilled about as it is my first attempt at reblooming them!

The snowy scene outside is brighter than you think, even with the sun behind the clouds. Light meter was showing 15K-20K lux at the window.

This is the "virus table"! The Phal is ORSV+ AND CymMV+, while the Onc is CymMV+. Had them both for a year but just did the virus test recently. One was from a big box store and the other one was from ebay, so no big surprises there. They are, however, both in spike, so they get to stay at least through flowering.

This Vanda wants it to be summer NOW so it can go back outside!

Just waiting for this thing to bloom already. Seven Phal spikes growing since October, and not a single bloom yet. But when they do...!

Buds, buds, buds...hurry up!!

A recently received gift (among others...thank you!)! I like it more every time I look at/smell it! Mormodia Jumbo World. My first from the Catasetums, it has a faint spearminty scent.

February family photo with 20cm of snow on the ground outside.

The scene in your sunroom is so much nicer than my g/h. Even with the sun out today (YAY) the stomp to the g/h, getting the ice off the door, shoveling the two gates to get there plus shoveling to get the g/h door open, wears me out!

Afternoon tea at your place tomorrow.

Brooke

It was sunny today, so more pictures. With a special appearance from Sasquatch, the abominable snow-cat.

Ahhhh...I'm imagining myself sitting in that room right now...having some coffee and sitting next to Sasquatch. He is freakin' adorable!
