Orchids by Hausermann
This place is great. I went off the other feedback on the forum and the fact that their prices are really decent from what I could find. I called on Friday to place my order because I was paying with two different gift cards and they gave me no hassle at all.
Orchids came in today and were packed amazing. Whoever does the packaging should be patted on the back for sure.
Anyways, I picked up a Dpts Liu's Triprince Red and Phal. Burning Star 'Ablaze'.
The Triprince was stated to be in spike and I was very surprised to see it have two! Its a very compact plant for sure and it has a ton of great looking roots. It needs to be repotted in new media but otherwise very healthy looking.
The Burning Star is in great shape as well. I ordered it on the suggestion of my wife and it came with great roots as well. It also needs new media. Yet, it came with a surprise, a spike!! It said it didnt that there wasnt one when I ordered so imagine my surprise!

I only bought orchids from Hausermann once but the orchids I received were excellent. I agree with you that the plants and the prices are very good. Congratulations on your new orchids.

Those are some super healthy looking phals! The roots on the Triprince are awesome!! I cant wait to see that one flower! I bought a Burning Sands 'Ablaze' from them 4 years ago, but it was in rough shape and didnt survive. Yours looks really well grown! Congrats!

Yea, the roots are insane on that one. Im not sure how it will turn out when I repot it because it needs a little bit bigger pot as almost all the roots on the inside of the pot are jammed in there.
The Burning Sands has one torn leaf but it happened a while back as its healed well.
Cant really go wrong with the prices on them either. Here, the only places that have orchids are the big box stores and they are around $30 for large ones and $20 for mini and they are all NOIDs.

I find Hausermanns is a gamble. I have gotten great plants from them and then....not so great and even downright offensive. I still buy from them as more often than not, I get great plants. But don't bother buying species from them...every species phal, I should be specific, was always very weak and kind of pathetic. Their hybrids are very good though....robust and healthy and packaged very well. I will continue to buy from them because of their selection and they often come up with hard to find hybrids on occasion that makes browsing their website worth the time.

Well, its almost been a month and both plants are doing good. The Triprince had one bud opening today and a total of 7 buds on one spike and 5 on the other but both are still growing. Quite a few of the air roots are shriveled now but I can only assume that they have gone that route because the roots in the moss are taking in much more moisture due to the repot.
The Burning Star (Seminole x violacea) is doing good as well. I took about 50% of the moss volume out and the plant has responded by shooting out about 3 new roots and the old ones look much better. The spike is about 3 inches now (about .5" when it arrived) and progressing well. I had to stake it because it was going straight off to the side and I dont have the room to have it do it. Maybe next year.

Yup, I've since ordered two more from them. Should be here on Thursday depending on what day they ship them out.

Another great shipment from them. Took 3 days from order to door. Of course, helped it has been a little bit warmer.
Pot. Burana Beauty 'Burana' HCC/AOS
Its in pretty good shape. Its bloomed before (has two stems left) so I know it should be good for more. Really insane how nice of an orchid it is for $10.
Dendrobium peguanum x sib
I knew this would be small but man, its tiny! The match stick is just barely stuck in there to hold it up. Not sure what Im going to repot this guy in though. I only have a medium bark mix and it looks a bit large for its roots.

I always had very healthy plants from them...and the shipping and handling is just perfect. My plants in bloom doesnt get crushed at all (they put cotton in between the blooms petals)
And its always a good deal they dont charge that much.
