Great haul from Paramount Orchids
Our orchid society organized a day trip to Paramount Orchids and some 30 of us participated. We had a great time and came away happy, arms full of boxes of plants and supplies, and tons of information. I tried to restrain myself somewhat - but that didn't last long. My haul: Jumellea comorensis (in spike), Aerangis articulata), mooreana, punctata, clavigera (in spike) and a stylosa, Ornithocephalus bonplndii. I got a bonusMasdevllia (Myck Santos x pachyura)

Sounds like a lot of fun! I wish we had a large orchid vendor close to us. Paramount is our closest which is a 6 1/2 hour drive from Saskatoon.
I was at your June society meeting! Your group sure had lots of wonderful plants for show and tell!

Thanks Silken! Shamefaced I stand before you all: I own a camera, occasionally use it, and don't have the foggiest how to upload pictures. I'm a techno ding bat, and still try to bribe my son into teaching me. And I don't seem too good at that either.

First you need a fairly small photo file. Then click the 'Go Advanced" button just under the comment box. Once you do that there will be a button called 'manage attachments' When you click that a seperate box opens and you browse your computer for each of your photos. Click on it and the 'open' button. Then click 'Upload' You will see the attachments under your message box. Preview or post your reply with photos. I hope I got that all in order. It's not as long winded as it sounds!

You can start reading the manual. And tell your son to teach you slowly like you were a 4 yr old...and repeat it again till you got it all down pat.
I been to Edmonton 4 times and I always had a blast! You have the biggest mall in the world (oh no Saudi Arabia now does)
We would love to see photos especially of blooms.

I will mend my ways in the near future. As for the mall: I used to live quite close to it, and had to go there at least a few times a month. Now I avoid it like the plague

Sounds like you had lots of fun there. I would love to go on a buying trip like that with other orchidaholics, I think I would go nuts!
