I've been looking at flasks and compots lately, thinking about changing my approach to growing... when I ran across this:

The site is quite annoying to navigate. I managed to reserve a few, but I'm also focusing on orchids that I could grow outside, which after a little bit of research, Cattleya rex decidedly is
not. What this is however is a sib cross with an AOS awarded specimen by a member of this forum and orchid YouTuber MyGreenPets (which I also found out after a little bit of research into what "MGP01" stands for).
I want this. Each flask has 16 plants for a bit north of $40. There are about 90 plants available for reflasking, meaning if I'm interpreting this correctly they can make 5-6 flasks without much delay. I'm guessing Troy Meyers' site is sort of a crap shoot for the typical browser who finds vague offerings without much of an indication of who the seed donors (e.g. Jim Hanlon, Ms Cynthia Hill, Bill Jasen, and in this case William Green, from my brief survey of current offerings) are.
I feel like these are a great deal, so someone should buy these up real quick before I get tempted.
On a more serious note, does anyone know if
all Cattleya seedlings right out of the flask need to dry off quick after watering like it was said of the Cattleya rex? If that's the case, doing a semi-hydro type thing or balls of moss would not be a good idea, right? I'm looking at (again, what could grow outside) species like intermedia, purpurata, amethystoglossa, guttata for example. Also saw a couple posts from Roberta saying the labiata could potentially winter outside, but her website lists it as grown in the greenhouse, so not sure about that one. It's a unifoliate though...
