We could form a band with all the musicians on this board!

It is quite a let down... I've been on the hunt for blooming size dowianas for 3 years. i had rearranged a grow tray to make room for them and had the pots all ready for them. I don't think any of the previous dowiana bulbs had bloomed yet though, so in addition to being 'well done' they were also kind of disappointing in size. Ecuagenera is not the deal it once was
My SVO order was also a let down and 3 days ago an uninsured driver hit my car and totaled it as it sat in front of my house (turns out "uninsured driver coverage" only covers injuries). Not my week!

That sucks, I'm sorry about your order and your car. I didn't know about the uninsured driver coverage detail... Hopefully you weren't injured.
I had similar issues with my last Ecuagenera order (sobralias) shipped to California. Plus they sort of gave me a hard time about it, asking me to ship it back (to their FL outpost) when it was mostly black... I've seen others on the west coast with nice plants so I dunno. maybe the extra shipping costs help. Hopefully you'll have a better time with them.

An uninsured person with no driver's license who is in the country illegally backed into my truck in a parking lot. My insurance company believed her story that I was driving and hit her, so I had to pay.

They are saying they will not refund the two completely black Dowianas, $150 in value. Pushing back hard.

must be a bela fan ?? i grew up on bluegrass and my first instrument was a banjo, my dad loved the flecktones! perhaps one of the best live sets i ever saw was bela and victor wooten who at one point were playing each others instruments with like insane hand flicks and facing each other grooving....oh, those were the days!!

Thanks TMoney! I am a huge Bela fan, the man revolutionized the instrument... I don't play in his unique style, I play more old timey stuff without fingerpicks.
Nothing better in my mind that a bluegrass band all playing around one mike, weaving in and out with their solos and harmonies. Its an incredible thing to experience (miss it!!)

Good. They should have done it in the first place.

good to hear you should be getting a refund! but if it were me i woulda asked for the whole lot refunded!! but hey, beggars can't be choosers. do you think the gigantea is gonna make it? i have a soft spot for those little guys
also yes, experiencing live bluegrass is something totally different. growing up my dad would take my sister and i to the eagles club in flat rock, michigan, where ALL the bluegrass greats would come thru. tiny little club with picknic tables and a dirt floor. i just remember falling asleep on those tables with people hootin and hollerin and the mando would be twanging away....man, that really does take me back....
got to see the lewis family, the oak ridge boys, bluegrass generation, so so many great players...
anyway, sorry, back to orchids!!!!!
