I'll make this brief. My phone camera takes poor night shots, so sorry. I ordered some plants from Ecuagenera on Nov 29 2020. They earlier wrote that the plants would not be shipped until February. I'm glad they did that; I had several plant packages arrive late last year, from 10 to 30 days late.
On January 13 I received a notification the plants would be shipped 2-Day Priority Mail January 26 or 27 from Apopka, Florida. I was given the option of upgrading to overnight shipping, but did not choose that, because the southern part of the US has not been very cold recently.
They arrived today, January 30. The heat pack was completely spent. Most appear to be in excellent shape. They are extremely large for the prices I paid. Many are making multiple growths.
Oncidium hyphaematicum has a lot of yellow on the pseudobulbs. It has few leaves, and the ones it has are yellowing. It is making two new growths, which have not yet begun rooting. The sphagnum around the root ball seems moister than that of the other plants. It doesn't look as good as the rest of the plants.
Paphinia herrerae had used all the moisture in the sphagnum moss around the root ball, and the leaves are wilting. It is making a new growth. I haven't grown this before. Based on reading here on Orchid Board before ordering it, I am worried about how dry it has become.
They included two extra plants, duplicates of plants I ordered, Dendrobium griffithianum and Den. thyrsiflorum.
Overall I am quite happy. I will treat them with KelpMax and Inocucor in rain water, and repot tomorrow.
