Kim at Fair Orchids
I recently had a very positive experience ordering from Kim at Fair Orchids. He's very active on this board and very knowledgeable, so I expected good plants from him when I ordered, and i got good plants.
I bought three of his Adenium obesum seedlings from the breeding program he is starting with that plant. I had no idea A. obesum came in so many colors and forms. When I was a kid, I had one and it was the typical pink variety with a lighter pink blush. I had no idea it came in other colors, even with double flowers. Check out his website, he's got some beautiful stuff.
He sold me the three seedlings from his breeding program at a very fair price, and I am very pleased with them. They're still a couple years away from blooming, but I'm really excited to see how they turn out. He had pictures of the parents, so I'm excited to compare which qualities from each parent gets passed on to the offspring.
So in short, I ordered three plants from Kim, he sent me three good plants, and I'm very happy. I would definitely order from him again.

I can confirm and vouch for these statements about Kim being a guy. He is really a guy! I have without-shadow-of-a-doubt proof of it below.

Here are some stats ------ Click Here
The girls are so-far ahead of the guys in that particular area. So-far (ie. currently, at this time).
But the tables are turned HERE.
Kim is generally a boy's (guy's) name in Scandinavia/Nordic places (that's from online info).

LOL there, are you all happy now? Hahahahahaha

In all fairness, I have never known a man named Kim until just now. Or well, not just now. I've been talking to Kim for a long time, but until I met this Kim here on OB, every Kim I had known had been a woman.

LOL now that that's done, can we talk about what great plants Kim has, and what amazing things he's doing with his Adenium obesum breeding program?

And one last thing, I'm very sorry Kim. I'm sure you're not offended, because we have had dialogue, and I feel like we like each other very much, but I'm sorry all the same. I hope I didn't embarrass you in any way.

That is some convincing evidence right there. I was a little doubtful, skeptical of the others, but that clinches it. That is incontrovertible proof right there.

JS ----- many moons ago, in Australia - we all thought Kim was a girl's name too, until an outstanding sports guy (who played cricket for Australia and in Australia - namely Kim Hughes) became known among pretty much all aussies. Granted that not everybody will know the game of 'cricket' hahahaha. But for many people in Australia back in the past ------ that's how we got heads-up on it.

This has turned into such a funny conversation. I grew up right outside Boston and had 3 neighbors named Kim. All guys!!!!!!
I went to college in Maine where there were 3 Kim's in my class...........all girls. I don't know what to do with that data.
Signed
A guy named Leigh
and BTW, I've met the Kim in question and he is a good GUY!
