Interesting observations regarding "air management. . .I am going to have to make adjustments to my two fan set up, I thnk And I think I'd better go move my Phal. cornu-cervi back a bit out of the wind, as well.
Gwen, that was just a guess on my part I would welcome any other input on observations regarding air movement, especially during spiking.

I trust your initial observations. . .and now we're all on the lookout to see if that's the culprit!

I am pretty sure it's not a good idea to have a fan blowing right on any plant. . .too drying, too fast. And if you add to that any temp spikes, there's a good chance for trouble.

Totally right on, in my estimation.

I just love these blossoms, nice one Ross
I got mine last summer, it seemed to do nothing until jan. But I'm also keeping it on the moist side, seems to like this better.
Curious on the bloom size of the leafs - how large do they have to be before any success?

I think 1" leaves are normal for this guy. Have two different plants and both seem to "top out" at about 1" leaves.

I love the mounts, tho not as successful. This one is really a cutie. But we all learn from yours and others input on your successes. Nice job and good info. Thanks.

1 inch? Really? Mine is *huge* by comparison, then! Each leaf on mine is at least 2 1/2 - 3 inches long... I gotta go look at your photos again!

Think I was thinking of another 'chid. I just measured mine and the longest on either plant is 5". Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks, Ross. So that means that mine is still on the small side - which makes sense, as this is the first sign of flowering, no previous flower stems detectable.....

BTW, I'd *love* to have a 1" one!!! Wouldn't that be so cool!!
