Thumbs down Angranthes Grandalena - Source

Once again, I am having a hard time finding a source. Does anyone know where I can buy a blooming size Angranthes Grandalena. Besides being very fragrant it is suppose to be easy to grow. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I think that Oak Hill Gardens (Oak Hill Gardens) has this one. Not sure of the size though.

You can also try Hoosier Orchid. They acquired Fred Hillerman's breeding stock a number of years ago, and they have several Angraecoid hybrids available for sale.

Only thing to be aware of with Hoosier (not a negative, just a FYI) is their stock is seedling mostly. Having said that, I have bought lots of plants from them and never been dissapointed.

Thanks everyone for your prompt responses, but so far no luck. What amazes me is that the orchid is mentioned in several books as great for amateurs with a nice fragrance and nobody seems to carry the plant. I don't understand the vagaries of orchid sales, obviously.

Ross is correct about Hoosier. Good stock and a wide variety, but most of the plants are small seedlings. Orchids Limited tends to have larger flowering size plants. Just bought a beautiful flowering size Cattleya dowiana from them, and was not disappointed. So I think, Uechi, that you be sorry you purchased from them.
