I inherited this orchid 3 years ago from an orchid buddy who didn't have the light to grow it due to a move. It blooms every year around end of summer into fall.

The flowers are just opening and look like a bunch of red grapes. Very cute.

I grow this Robiqueta in a south window, warm temperatures and water lots in summer, reducing a bit in winter. It is growing in medium bark, with a little sphagnum moss, perlite and charcoal in the mix. I water with RO water and rotate feeding with fish emulsion, sea kelp and MSU alternating with a flush.

It started growing a basal keiki two years ago... Bonus!!!

That's a interesting orchid. I've ever seen some species with yellow blooms. Most of them dislike cold winter.

That's one I have never seen before - very interesting!

I'm assuming from the growth habit that it's a Vanda relative? What conditions does it require?

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments. Yes it is a vanda relative and dislikes cold. I grow it alongside my Renanthera monachica with same conditions of hot, moist and lots of light... There's a small fan blowing into area 24-7 too

I saw this pic online and loved it. I think I will detach and grow the keiki in this manner to display the blooms vertically!

How interesting and unique. Do the blooms last a long time or is it short lived?

You grow it in a S window...any supplemental light or just the window?

Ten Shin will be at the MAOC, I think I'll have to look for this one.

Katrina, the blooms last about 3-4 weeks successively. I do not supplement with extra light in south window here in Toronto.

Tell Matt from Tenshin I said hi as I saw him in Montreal Show. He might give you a little discount for this plant
