will Vanda cuttings thrive or grow up to a plant ?
Some Vanda we can cultivate by this method.

Are the cuttings growing roots? I would think there would be a better outlook if so...wait and see if a more experienced member chimes in with some more details.

Number 1 rule:
Never top a vanda unless there are roots to support its health.
you will find vanda grow aerial roots as it matures, these are the roots i am speaking of.
After topping the vanda, the original plant will usually branch out sending new leads from the dormant buds near the base of the leaves, but the top must have its own healthy roots 2-3 at 3" in length is the minimum.

I certainly agree with Michael. Any of the vandaceous family "must" have some roots in order to survive with good results. I have split quite a few when they branch out or develop keiki's. I've even tried to wrap some without out roots dusted with root-tone and wrapped in spag. trying to develop roots. They eventually yellow and die. Good luck with yours.
