I added an extra light bulb to supplement my southern window for the dark winter....we just had a mild and temperate winter....I am bracing myself for to be bombed with snow and Noreasters to visit us this time....

sorry Carrie....I hope we wont get bombed this winter....but as far as I know Noreasters come every 8 years....remember the time when we had all cars buried under snow? that was five years ago....

Yes, I just don't want it. The snow removal from the driveway is such a pain..... The trouble with suburbia! Regardless, We will have our orchids to keep us from getting too glum. For me, the issue can be the power outages (though my husband gave me a generator for Christmas last year )

Bud, I did the same thing with our south window. With our rain forest climate it is horribly dull in the winter with loads of humidity. But it has barely rained at all since the end of july. The vandas are loving the sunshine almost every day.

Default REBLOOM 11/05/2013

Sadly, this orchid plant produced smaller and fewer flowers than the last blooming cycle but the colors are sharper and more vivid.

I would take more vivid and rich colours over flower size any day!
