Ascocenda Princess Mikasa Blue blooming
Only first bloom is fully opened and mature but of course I couldn't wait to post. I noticed that color is not as pale now than when it just started to open.
It is so beautiful and delicate! I am very happy with my purchase. Hope it will bloom for me more than once.
Thank you for looking.

Thank you Bud. It is a bit purplier in the real life but still quite striking.
I love blue vandaceous!

You've got a good one there, Orchideya. We were talking about how blue they look in pictures. Your's looks sky blue on my computer screen. Beautiful flower with an excellent shape. I'm sure you'll enjoy that one.

Thank you guys!
Silken, I got it with spike, so can't take credit for blooms, but I hope to keep her happy for more blooms to come.
Tucker, it is the same "picture effect with blue vandas" as we discussed, in real life there is more purple, but it is stunning.
I want to get the white Princess Mikasa now.

Orchideya, there are at least two versions of a pink Princess Mikasa also.

Thank you WhiteRabbit. It is not a young orchid, there are already two previous spikes. I took a picture of the whole plant and (probably lighting is dfferent) the color of blooms is actually very close to the real life one, a bit purplish not as blue as on the two pictures above:

Thank you. I am definitely on the look out for pink too. I guess, they all should bloom more than once per year?
I wonder if my conditions will allow for multiple bloomings of my Blue Princess...
