Default Vanda tricolor var suavis

Hello,I got this Vanda two years ago and wasn't looking good and it was trying to bloom last year but spike rotted away, but after good caring it has two spikes this year and one is fully open.

Fantastic, I love those blooms. Congratulations!

My story is much like yours... Same type of chid, same amount of time, but I'm in Florida and mine has never spiked. If you don't mind me asking, how large is your plant and what's the leaf count? I read recently that they bloom between fall and winter. Have you experienced recent temperature changes that could explain the spike? Thanks.

Those are some gorgeous blooms! I don't have the light that these require, but if I could grow just one vanda this would be my number #1 choice. Good growing!
