Alas, my favorite plant of all time has gotten too big and will be sold next month at my local society meeting. It won me some ribbons and I will be getting a tattoo of it soon. These are my goodbye photographs taken today.
Double spike!!!!!!
Yardstick for scale on the full shot

Wow! That is a big plant! I have had my Pachong blue for more than 10 years, but it is still a managable size.

That's beautiful. I hate to hear you're selling a favorite plant. Are you sure you don't want to reconsider and try to keep it?

Unbelievable. Your plant is gorgeous. I have a few vandas, but had a scale problem and now they look like palm trees. Where do you keep this - inside or out?

this is grown 100% indoors under HPS lighting. I grow my orchids literally in a closet where the cats can't get at them.

That is an absolute fabulous speciemen and looks super healthy! Are you sure you have to get rid of it? Even the leaves look compact compared to most ... therefore it takes up less room than a normal vanda??
If you really are getting 'rid' then Congrats to the new owner whomever you may be !!!!!

The leaves do appear to be shorter than most vanda leaves. I hope that I never have to give mine up! Vandas are so easy to grow that you can have them for a number of years. I have lost quite a few of my other types of orchid.
