I'm in orchid paradise!
I am in orchid heaven as I am 'baby-sitting' an orchid nursery during the absence of the owners who have gone to an orchid show in a southern state capital.
My duties are minimal - feeding the cat and myself, watering orchids and selling plants to unwary callers.
In my spare time, I have been browsing through 100's of 'bargain bench' ($5 - $20) plants that have been culled out for an upcoming sale. Naturally, I have 'pigged out' and bought some really great plants for myself and for another forum member who lives in a place called Victoria.
What have we bought?
V. igsignis
V. Fuchs delight
Rhy. retusa x Rhy. coelestis 'Pink'
V. Pat Delight
V. Bonnie's Two tone 'Plum 'n Pink'
V. Lourdes Apostle 'Cool Lime'
Ascda. Guo Chia Long
V. Keeree's Sapphire 'Lakeland'
These, along with a PILE of others.
Why all Vandaceous plants? The nursery specialises in Vandas and is the origin of many well known names.

Baz,
I am rather excited for you. You are not sitting Brighton's nursery, or are you?

Oh how lucky!!! If the owners are OK with it, could you post some pics? I love drooling orchid paradises like that!

Yes Lars, I am toiling away at Brighton Orchids. It's dirty work but someone has to do it!
Mollycart1, it's a funny thing you mentioning Roy's lack of hanging space. I seem to remember him saying something along those lines. He is also complaining about lack of bench space now.
Photos? I'll have to arrange for a grease and oil change on my camera.
