Default Vanda 'Sansai' Blue

Our one and only vanda which we got a little over a year ago an this is it's second blooming. It has been troublesome lately, but maybe vanda's just are in a northern climate. Maybe I'll develop vanda voodoo soon , hopefully.

Nice Barb! I have the same one blooming at the moment. I agree that growing Vandas in the north is very challenging.

Beautiful. Are you growing this one in a greenhouse or indoors?

Very nice!! I love the color. Is it still winter in your part of the world?

Thanks all.

It's growing indoors in a south-east window under lights where it gets alot of light.

Tindo, I took this picture a few months ago and only just now realized that I forgot to post it. Don't know why it desided to bloom so early, I always thought vanda's, even cool tolerant ones such as this, prefered warmer conditions.

I thought it would be near impossible to grow Vandas indoors! Excellent growing indoors then.

I did purchase a Paraphalaenopsis serpentilingua x Vascostylis Tham Yuen Hae to try out

Just to resurrect an old thread, my Sansai blue now blooms in summer and winter, usually with two spikes, and I live in Birmingham, England ! Lateral thinking is the key for us northern growers.
