Vanda bensonii or not ??

I have found this image online about Vanda tricolor from West Java.

Vanda tricolor or is this a new species or hybrid? Orchids and the City

I also have one although they don't seem to every bloom in lowland. This one below is Vanda tricolor from Bandung, West Java bought 2 years ago but never bloom. *sigh*

Psyched, when your plant should be setting spike, about one month before, start watering it with VERY cold water, over the plant also. It probably needs that chill to set the spikes.

A friend advised that I spray with cold water on daybreak before the sun rises.

I assume that my growing area just not humid enough because the weather been very very weird.

Noon = extremely hot (34) and sunny
the day after, we got heavy downpour and heavy wind

Doesn't stop there, we should be having dry season since last August/September but as it draws nearer to November, we are still having thunderstorms and heavy rain.

It used to be just El Nino and La Nina... but this year weather... is just extreme.
