This cute miniature only gave me one spike last year but was generous with two this year.

Are those the roots that look like it's wrapping around the top of the medium? It has a stronger root system than mine does, and the blooms came out perfectly! How do you keep it?I just recently got mine, and I'm not too informed on the culture needed.

You are right. Those are roots. If you grow Ascocentrum or Ascocenda, you can grow this plant the same way. Grow it warm with a lot of misting and medium fertilizer, 1 tsp. weekly, and medium (cattleya) light. A little less water in winter but no rest.

I made an error on the spelling. The correct spelling is Dyakia
