Thanks guys....I just adore vandas, especially the tessellated ones. This is my first tessellated - my other vandas are either solid color or spotted.
This is my favorite now for sure!

Nice lavender Vanda. I love the loose, rounded shape of the blooms and those bold tessellations. It looks very similar to Blue Magic. Is it one of the parents of this hybrid?

I don't know the parents, actually.

I got it here: Vanda Somsri Blue Diamond - $50.00 : Goodwin Orchids - located in Leesburg, Florida, SITE_TAGLINE

I have had it a little less than a year now and it's doubled in size in that time. I keep it bare root and soak it in a bucket daily.

Today the tessellations are much darker and more blue. I suspect this may end up near dark blue.
