I don't know what type it is, but it looks very healthy. As far as care, Vandas like lots of light. You will need to thoroughly water the roots every day, but early in the day so they are dry by evening.
I submerge the roots is a pitcher for 10 minutes and/or mist them with a pump sprayer.
I have one that had similar roots but not that many.
the thinner roots dried up while it grew new fat roots.
I think in a greenhouse a Vanda grows thinner roots than in a drier situation.
a smaller one that came as a seedling with almost no roots is growing very well in a wood basket with coco chips, leca, bark.
the roots now are crawling outside the basket.
probably if you have low humidity I would consider butting the roots in some basket with a little bit of media. or put it by a humidifier/
