Vanda tessellata

I bought this plant as a division in Septemeber and it is blooming already. I just love the scent. I am so glad I got it.

Lecent, thank you. It has been on my 'wish' list for a while. Although I have some tessellata hybrids, I am really happy with the flowers.

While I was browzing other forum ( Slippertalk.com ), I noticed one of the venders ( Leo Schordje - Schordje.com ) was selling some of his collection. I saw it and grabbed it immediately. The tags says the original plant was from Dr. Martin Motes.

neb, I think Smiley's Orchids has one, too. When I was asking her about the fragrant Vandas, she included v. tessellata on the list. OL just posted Vanda tricolor var. suavis for sale under 'in-spike' section. I am debating whether or not I should get it.

Naoki, shame on you.....I haven't got my plant of this yet. Had 2 flowering size V.lamellata and a small V. merrillii arrive though.
