Looking for Opsistylis
Does anybody know where would might obtain Opsistylis Suree? I used to have one, and sold it a few years ago. Now I'd like to have one back again. I have searched high and low online, have called growers all over the country, and no one seems to have it. The grower I originally got it from has apparently gone out of business. Any help in finding this plant would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I would contact white oak orchids, if you haven't already done so. They are fantastic and I found a really rare renanthera there recently.

Andy's Orchids, in Escondito, CA would be your best bet. He's a species specialist and if he doesnt have it, he might know who does.

Opsistylis addendum
I need to mention that Opsistylis is an intergeneric hybrid between Vandopsis and Rhynchostylis. It is not a species. The most likely source would be a grower of vandaceous orchids, perhaps in Hawaii. Anyone in the islands out there reading this? Or perhaps a grower from Thailand, which I believe is where the hybrid originated from. It's been around for at least 20 years or more, isn't anything new, but seems to have dropped off the face of the Earth in the past few years. Thanks for any assistance you might give.

I contacted Oak Hill Orchids. They sold all their plants of Opsistylis Suree earlier this year and don't plan on importing anymore. Well, back to the drawing board. Any other suggestions for finding one?

Norman's Orchids ( orchids.com passion for orchids) has mature-size plants listed on their site for a promotional price of $38 (usually $45). Check out the vandaceous link on their website.

Thanks, Steve! They have it, as you say. I have looked all over for this cross, even called to Thailand and emailed to Australia looking for it. I put it on my wish list. Thanks again, very, very much!

Ha, If it's a vandaceous cross, my money would be on RF orchids here in Florida. THey are very helpful if you haven't already contacted them.
Good luck.
