A new addition to the "vanda chandelier" in my bathroom. Brilliant orange with over 20 flowers. Just bought it this weekend on a little orchid buying trip. Hopefully the pictures post as I'm new at this.

"A weekend orchid buying trip". That sounds like a fantastic way to spend a weekend. Oh how I would love to do that. I'm green with envy.

Hubby promissed me a weekend trip, which would (coincidentally of course) be near an orchid nursary you can go to and of course buy from.

Unfortunately we're now broke, but as soon as things pick up I'm holding him to that promisse. If he thinks I've got lots of orchids now just you wait.

Yes Grandma, I went with the London orchid society to Clouds Orchids, 4000 sq. feet of retail sales area, and I heard 39000 sq feet of additional greenhouse. Orchids as far as you can see, I was hypnotized!!! My van broke down on the way home 1 1/2 hours away, temporarily put a bit of a damper on the day....but I was still on a high when I finally got home. My 35 orchids were in my van behind the tow truck and were towed home to safety....one for the memory bank!! Still a great day. He had a ghost orchid there as well and he showed it to us when we toured the restricted area....quiet something to see.
