everyone !!! I just wanted to share with you these beautiful blooms on 3 of my vandas. I've been waiting for 8 months on the first 2 plants to grow and develop a spike and buds and finally here they are. The last plant is my Euranthes sanderianum still in bloom. Enjoy !!! The plants in the pictures are
- (Vanda Charananan-Trevor Rathbone x V. coerulea) X Ascda. Peggy Foo
- Ascd. Princess Mikasa 'Blue'
- Euranthes sandeianum
You are very fortunate to have such a beautiful climate.
Your wonderful photos make it look as if the Vandas are out of doors. Is this a correct impression? How do they cope in wind or rain, and how can you controle atmospheric humidity?
greetings from a cold dull winter in Devon.
Wow! those are gorgeous. I am just waiting for my mikasa blue to bloom. Should be any day now. Sure wish I could have my Vanda's outside but no chance of that at this time of the year snowy Ontario! However they seem to be doing fine under my lights.

Nice growing Roly. I too love Vandas. The first pink is very nice, and my Princess Mikasa is also in bloom with 2 spikes and blooming for the second time this year. As for "Sanderiana" I have hopes for one this year? Thanks for the show.

Clare they are grown outdoors. My humidity is relatively high most of the year. When it gets warmer I simply hose down the ground and that increases the humidity.
Thank you everybody for the comments !!! We should all have a sanderiana. It's just drop dead gorgeous. And for those of you in Canada. I've seen pictures over here of people growing them there, just indoors.
