This is smaller than Kuroshinju. Here is a side x side.

The Kuroshinju is a sprawler. It tends to grow fans and spread out. The Tamakongou grows up, but I haven't had it long enough to see. I'm assuming it will grow taller, with less fans based on how my regular sized Tamakongou grows.

Matt, I'm still loving that Tamakongo! It looks as if there are three fans? Should be interesting to see how tall this grows but it is just so cool as is. I emailed Satomi and sadly those all sold, fast! I will have to control my excitement next time she sends her mailing list, might find another one day.

Too bad! I know that if she has a lot of people asking for a particular plant, like this one, she'll try to order more from Japan. So when a new list comes out, Patty, put in your order!
Yes, this plant has 3 fans. The taller fan in the center hides the other two depending on the angle. It is very appealing. I hope you get it. It was pretty inexpensive too.

I hope she will have more soon, I'll definitely watch. I was so happy at that time to have found the Senzai, I immediately emailed her about availability as she only had two of them. I completely forgot about any other plants on her list. I had missed the Senzai before from her.
I believe your plant is the one pictured on her list and at her FB page, nice plant Matt. I noticed on her recent eBay listings that she will be gone for two weeks....maybe she will be getting more plants? I'm assuming with her being gone that there will not be a list for September or any other eBay listings for a bit. Patience, not my strong suit:/

Charles it may be a good thing for me as well. I am constantly checking for her eBay listings and I always find something.
Recently I've convinced myself of the cold truth about winter coming and my concern of shipping plants so that has only fueled my urgency to purchase more before that happens.

Because of how hardy Neos are, winter does not affect them if shipping across the country. Satomi usually offers a heat pack at an additional cost and postage to accommodate the extra weight of the heat pack.
That said, I do refrain from getting many plants in the winter because it is worrisome.
