Default Jack Pot!!

To anyone that lives in the San Francisco bay area, I hit the jack pot.

So I'm home for a week and i was doing my usual run of all my favorite orchid shops.

I usually hit up my neighborhood bonsai shop because they have great pots for my orchids. To my surprise I find that they started carrying all different kinds of Neofinetia falcatas. Including a Seikai that i've been wanting forever!!!

They only have about 20 at a time and i've already snagged 6 so good luck!

So anyone living or visiting San Francisco I suggest you stop by Katsura Garden and see what they have.

Ps. I also picked up a beautiful Hoya.

Oh my gosh. I live across the Bay in Berkeley. How were the prices like? Do they get their stock from NWO? So many questions. I have a neo I really REALLY want but can't find.

The prices were actually pretty good. I have never bought anything form New World Orchids but i visit the website a lot and have been wanting to purchase from them for a long time now. My orchids were all reasonably priced compared to hers and Orchid web. Obviously some were more expensive then others but those were the variegated leaf neos. I bought a neo with 9 growths for $50.00 which from my months of research seems like a steal.

I don't know where they get them from but i'm assuming Japan as thats were they get most of their other plants and pots.

AND.... i'll post pix asap

The pots and the one printed label looks like Seed Engei. What are the odds that another grower uses the same commercial pots (high) and label maker format (moderate). If Katsura imports their bonsai, if they use a broker, it might not be SE.
