Neosedirea Summer Stars 'Kat'
Hello All,
This is one of the first bloom seedlings from the cross I brought in last fall, the tags read Sedirea japonica 'Mint' x Neofinetia falcata 'Festival'. These were little plug plants in 1.25 inch cells and were brought in bare root and a little beaten up from the inspection process.
After a winter being in shock and a productive spring and summer these have grown quite a bit and several have spiked and bloomed out. This individual was selected out for the size of the flowers, almost 1.5 inches across, and the really strong lemon fragrance that it carries during the day.
From what I have seen there may be potential to have pink spotting throughout the petals with these, a few have moderate speckling on the lower sepals or in the petals but i'm watching out for a more consistently spotted individual.

I have been selling many of the established plants as they flush roots and foliage. There will hopefully be more to come as the smaller plants in the group catch up and begin spiking next spring.
I have made a similar cross using my best Sedirea japonica, or phalaenopsis, and Neofinetia falcata 'Sierra Snow'. Both parents are extremely floriferous and the seed pods are almost ready to be sent in for sowing. Will be exciting to see what comes out compared to this group.

You won't have any problem finding homes for the seedlings! Reserve a couple for me please!
