A nice neo intergeneric - Aeridovanda (Neo. falcata x Aer. odorata)
I am a big fan of the neo-vandaceous crosses, as they are compact, easy to grow, and really put on a show. The only real issue I have with them is that many look just like "tinted neos" with small, narrow flower segments.
I just got in a new hybrid, this time with Aerides odorata as the pollen parent, and the result is quite remarkable. The plants are about 6" tall in 4" pots, and the 1" flowers are very flat. I detect a faint, but lovely scent, as well, but at 8 am in a shaded kitchen window, I don't know if it might be stronger with more light.

Ray,
That is an excellent flower. I am sending you a PM.

Ray - what type of care do you provide these beauties? I just picked up one passing by a vendor at a farmers market and am getting alot of conflicting info. The seller said light requirements are low like phals but i sincerely doubt it since both crosses need more light than that. Do they like to dry out btw watering? It is in large bark and i think i will do the same with some moss mixed in. I did take a sniff on another one that had fading blooms and it had a very strong wonderful frangrance! The one i picked up is mostly in bud at the moment. No scent yet so i guess the frangrance develops later. Cant wait!
Fully opened! First bloom.

I have them growing right besides cattleyas, and they seem happy. I try to never let my plants dry out, but I use an airy medium and pot to facilitate that fact.

Aerides odorata does well under Cattleya conditions (but should not be allowed to dry out from March through Oct or Nov). Neofinetia falcata can live with that, though it prefers higher light.
I have 4 of this cross now, and have them as high and bright as I can place them in the greenhouse. I have repotted them into my usual spaghnum/bark mix in net pots, as that is how they do best for me.

I just got one of these. I am trying to decide how I am going to grow it in my very dry climate. My tag must be a miss spelling as it reads ordorata rather than odorata.
