Here's my new import from Japan, purchased by my friend Terry of Florapeculia. It's a sword type Fukurin. Not common and very valuable. Hope it likes my other neos! U know their pecking order LOL!
It almost looks like a benkeimaru with marginal stripes, mud roots and mud tsuke. Not an easy one to find unless you are in Japan yourself. Note that it can have reddish tint on the white margins...
I'm sure this plant will flourish under your care. The Furan that displays such subtle striping are very appealing and as you say, "not common". Please describe what you mean by a "sword type" Fukurin.
Sword type means the leaves can curve and resemble a sword... Like the benkeimaru, benten, himiko and Itosekai ... On each leave of this variety there is a thin white marginal striping that gives it a unique look unlike any other in the world of fukirans. It is much rarer than fukidens and just as expensive!
