That was a fair price for it. Congrats on the winning four of them. I had some on watch but got caught up in football and forgot about them. Imagine lol

Acquiring Neofinetias Via EBay
There was a lot of heavy bidding on some plants and then some plants were single bid or not at all. The Byakko went for $99 but the bidding was between two persons. The Amanogawa, which is a similar plant as the Byakko, was not bid.

3 bidders drove this Ryouga from 139.99 to 280, with over 5 hours remaining. I'll pass.

RYOGA is mutation from Amami-furan and produce beautiful striped variegation.
It is robust kind that has the widest leaf of all Fukiran and every leaf has stripes.
This is the new star of Fukiran!!

332 now with 4 hours to go.
A smaller sized (4" width) and not quite as nicely variegated Ryoga on a high end Japanese website sold earlier this month for the approximate equivalent of $330 actually. The the one currently up for auction is easily worth more than $400 in the Japanese market I'd say. It's over 6" wide and very well variegated.
It's also a very interesting plant in terms of size. See this picture. It gives a sense of scale:
That's a Higuma next to it, and Higumas are considered pretty normal sized for a Neo.

I'd probably be reckless with my money and bid on it if the newest leaf was more perfect, i.e. the very tippy tip of the leaf is dried up brown. I'm very finicky about even the most minor blemishes on more expensive plants. It is a gorgeous plant though.
That said, I'm rooting (hehe) for the current high bidder whose identity is known to me (though not a regular poster here).

Hi Jay! Yes, I have picked up two plants one last night: Sengaku 尖岳 and the second one tonight: Yamahoko 山鉾.
These two plants are quite the contrast--small bean leaf and long upright leaves.
However I really wanted the DAIKOUKAI-FUKURIN 大紅海覆輪 but got outbid.

I really like the sharpness of the mountain tsuke on the Sengaku. I noticed it the other day, but forgot to bid on it, though truthfully I don't need to buy any more plants this year.
