It's one of the healthier seds I've ever seen, so my intentions will be to maintain that health if not eek out some even better health.
I have not planted this guy in aqua mat... the seds stay too wet for too long in it. instead, I have i have planted this one and my only other maru type sed in hydroton that freely drains and stays humid at best (not wet!). They seem to appreciate this type of culture and I can water them as excessively as I'd like and they won't stay wet for long.
The trick I'm still trying to learn, though, is fertilizing these guys-- their root tips resent anything less than purified water, it seems. I hit them with some very light fertilizer last night and they'll be doused with pure water tonight so the salts won't be around long. (I say at night because my photo period is at night).

Kudos to you for even fertilizing! I can't remember the last time I fertilized!

Ginger is back
All is well Neos well cared for by my sweet husband. Will be in for a while but I will enjoy spending time with my Neos and the Japanese calendar that Camry yesterday. Thanks for your prayers & well wishes.
