The addiction will drive you mad (and broke). In my case, broke! There are still so many neofinetias that I want but sadly, can't afford right now. My last shopping splurge at the San Jose Orchid expo has been the most recent adds to my collection. I'm still in awe of my 'Nishidemiyako' and 'Manazuru' though. So my spirit is still happy

I come from a zoo world where my addictons could be controlled although I was a herp and arachnid person for a while and I have always done plants/orchids!--Ted

Been a while since I've updated anything. I've been so busy with the move from San Jose to San Francisco that I've put my Neo-addiction aside (perhaps this is a good thing?).

Here are two photos I took of my most prized Neofinetia, 'Nishidemiya' and 'Manazuru'. I also decided to put the pot I bought from Seed-Engei to use! I <3 birds.

Enjoy!

Oh my that is breath taking so beautiful I don't have the words to express how just looking at it makes me feel. Congrats on you collection and on the beautiful pot. Treat it carefully I broke the lid on a pot I purchased from him this week while watering just last week.

Beautiful Neo and pot. Are those two shots of the same Neo? Which one if so? Nishidemiyako?

Living in CA, you are so lucky to be able to pick out your Neos and pots in person.

Such kind words! Thank you . You've got me smiling and I'm sure my neo would feel the same way if it could! Haha.
Your pot from seed engei broke within a week?! How? I did notice that these pots are a lot thinner and feel really hollow compared to how it looks, visually. I was hesitant with even using it because of how much I paid for it. Sometimes I feel like getting it wet damages it. I'm paranoid now.

Both pictures are of the same neo. 'Manazuru' is a mutation that forms off of 'nishidemiyako'. 'Nishidemiyako' has yellow marginal stripes with a green center. 'Manazuru' on the other hand, flips that color combination and has a yellow center with green marginal stripes. It's beautiful.
In my photo, you can see 'Manazuru' on the right and 'Nishidemiyako' on the left and in the center.
Same plant/growth cluster but two different mutations.
