It doesn't say what kind of stone it is, but I don't think it is necessarily a porous stone because a lot of korean stone mounts i've seen were done on a dense hard rock like granite, I guess they just make sure it's well watered.
I would try this in a large lava rock and let a sculptor hone it concave to retain moisture...but I need a flask of 20 to 40 Neos...LOLZ; if I start at five=it will take me 20 years to grow a large stone like that...

granite holds a lot more moisture than you might think..rocks will hold water in an amazing amount in the tiny cracks and crevices..I know some who only use nothing but granite chips to grow their orchids. and yup thats about a $10,000 plant...better get started now huh? a real beauty!!!
