I water by placing the plant, pot and all, into a basin and let them sit there for five minutes or so to completely absorb water to moisten the moss ball. Once a month they get urea free fertilizer in the water and once a month they get Physan to keep the algae off the moss.

Doesn't this make your moss mounds soaking wet and take forever to dry out?

Becca it does make them soaking wet isn't that the point?? They dry in about 4 days or so and I only water once a week. They are all potted with the peanut method I posted but some will be potted on the air cones that Marissa has. They are all very happy and I have not lost a single one by doing this method.

I don't have a sink where I can submerge my plants where I live (college dorm). That's why I have to use a watering watering can and a mister. Ideally, I would probably dunk mine as well, but I flush it as best I can right now. It's giving me lots of new growths/roots right now, so I'm hoping once summer kicks in, I'll see some bloomage.

Neokate, It will kill the algae but it works best if used after you repot to prevent algae from the get go.
