The amesiella monticola was part of a society order from Ooi Leung about 2 years ago. It was a tiny article and didn't seem to catch on for quite awhile. It bloomed for the 1st time late last fall. The philippinensis is my latest acquisition from Ten Shin. I'll be mounting it when it's finished blooming.
Evan, you won't regret it! The plants are nice, even when not in bloom. I prefer to mount them, so the flowers can develop freely. The monticola prefers cooler temps. than the philippinensis according to the lit., but they both do fine in my int. temps. They are a bit fussy about water quality - they like it "pure".
