Default Angraecum magdalenae

"When you bother Angraecum's roots, the plant will sulk and do nothing." It is true. After I repotted a few years ago, it literally did nothing; no growths, no flowers. It finally decided to bloom this year ( two more spikes coming ) and started putting up a several (5 or 6 ) basal keikis.

Awesome! This is a beautiful plant. Good job, Naoki! I just got one last week at the Redlands show and have been reading about them. How big is your pot? What is in your potting mix? How big is this plant, height and total width. I know they can get big!

Thanks, Susan.

The pot size is 6 1/2" x 5". I used some 'left-over' paph mix (small barks and perlite) and added some medium sized barks. ( I really think it is time for 'repot'. But I am not doing it this year. ) The plant itself is about 2' wide and about a foot tall above the pot.

Naoki, how old is that plant ??? magdalenae is renowned for being the slowest grower of all the Angraecums.

I have had it for about 10 years. It is one of my oldest plants I neither have not killed nor given away.

Beautiful blooms and plant, Naoki. Now try not to annoy it anymore! :-)
