Magnus, how long have you had this plant? I can't get over how beautifully stunning that bloom is. I have 4 Angraecums (different types), but not even close to getting a bloom on any of them.
I have had it for half a year, It started to grow a leaf and then it stoped. After some time a bud started developing and now it flower. During the winter the temperature in my orchid case has been around 18-24 degree Celsius (65-75 F) with humidity never going below 80 %RH (100 %RH during night). It is mounted directly below 4*54 W of T-5īs (20 cm, 8 in.)
Hi
I am as I wrote before not good at describing fragrance but I have decided to try to describe the fragrance of this Angraecum. Early in the evning I think it has a jasmine tone but later when it has been dark for a while is smells strongly of clove (the spice), quite strong and sticky. If I put my nose in the flower I actually feal dizzy! So strong is the smell!
I think this guy is mounted just like mine (different species) and gets the same sort of response - lots of blossom. Great job Magnus. Always glad to see another Angraecoid grower success.
