repotting Angraecum longicalcar

1) Does it need it?
I picked it up last fall. It wasn't doing much for a while but once I added some extra lighting it started growing, including a burst of new roots. A few of those are poised to grow out the bottom of the pot. With one root already curling its way around the drainage holes I wonder if letting the plant stay longer could make it difficult to remove without damaging roots in the future. I also found a couple tiny snails in the media recently, which makes me want to pop it out to inspect/clean.

2) Media and pot?
I've read of this species being grown in medium/large bark to completely inorganic. At the moment it's in medium bark (orchiata, I think) and large perlite. My thought was to continue with a similar mix of medium bark and leca (normally I'd use pumice getting it that large is expensive). For pots I like to use terracotta when I can, but I'd rather not use something that the roots will cling so much as to be damaged when it eventually needs to be moved again. And, while less important, I'd rather not increase my watering frequency greatly.

Indoor next to catts, ~65-75° F, 55-70% RH, watered every 3 days, top/exposed roots misted daily

I would repot. This becomes a very large plant, shrub-sized. I grew Angcm. sesquipedale very successfully in S/H in LECA. The roots don't adhere to plastic much so I would use that.
