I mean, seriously, how is this not better. Bug Biting Plants — Butterworts They fly trapping device is good multiple times, its like putting in a a piece of scotch tape that actually attracts bugs. I am voting for the Pings. Plus I have been told they can be grown epiphytically.

Hey, I have a ping, and it works too, but not as well as the sundew, IMO. And, I personally think pings are much more fragile plants! YMMV I guess...

I love the idea of using plants to save other plants
I recently bought two...a venus flytrap and another. Got them at Lowe's in little square greenhouses.
My question is this:
what conditions do they like?
I need one for a shaded area and one to take full sun...
any advice?

I have an unidentified pinguicula that doesn't seem to need a winter rest. It also grows like a weed and has pretty flowers...
Happy to send you some, Ray.

I didn't think of Butterworts. Great idea! The idea here, I think is maximum coverage. Sundews should work well. Can't imagine you NOT growing sundews in your Vivs Tindo

I don't have enough lighting for sundews or most carnivourous plants (CP). The only CP I have had good luck with is Utricularia vulgaris.

That's the only thing that was holding me back from them, Rob.
Now, if we can figure the winter logistics...
