indeed 2" and on the shelf are 3" clay. I like the clay bec I like to water and the clay soaks up a lot of my overjoy. The net baskets that many send you seedlings in drop right into them, too easy

I cant imagine being able to get anything else in that cabinet other than my hand. Got to always have room for the hand and the dumb things they do.

BUT,
New Black Magic grow lites came in today.
Frog Foggers.
Grate for substrate of the next build.
Matala mat, dont know what Im do with that yet. Was thinking mounts but its pretty thick.hmmm..???
Have 30 gallon acrylic glasscage coming.
Cork Bark for backgrounds. The bark tiles from Petsmart are perfect to cut up for mounting orchids. I wash em good and soak em in consan20.
Aquarium chiller, gonna make this tank do 55.
Run hoses to the reservoir and make it cold water tank, chill it down at night, Run frog foggers during the day. gonna be a big mess. The cost is never ending.

Thanks. And just a thought, but you could hang hardware cloth horizontally at the top of you space to hang more small mounts. (Just call me the happy enabler)

oh you are all right!! I have much more room. I have room for 7 more 2" pots behind the scene for some very low light high humidity plants.

move out the laevifoliums and have room for 6 more 2" pots.

worked on it all night..more ideas came to me
added some bark to hang the plants off of. I was limited with the grid to put my plant where the grid was not where I wanted it. Now with the bark I can hang the plant where I want it. The cork its easy to remove the holder, which is just a small eye hook from Lowe's, Move it and next plant up. I found some plants that are quite unique orchids for just about anyone to grow and cant wait to build out #2.

Great choices of plants. Hope you have a BBBIGGG new enclosure for that Seidenfadenia mitrata... the first two are wonderful miniatures, Seidenfadenia is a beast.

You don't really use the fireplace, do you? A nice terrarium would fit in there. You could have it slide out on rails for maintenance.

Fireplace terrarium, sounds like a great idea.
You could hide all the equipment up the chimney! Slide out rails should be easily obtained.
