I did. I bought it from Carrie this fall at the mass orchid society show. Do you think it could be mislabeled? I bought it out of bloom - but I'd be surprised if she would sell something under a different name. What makes this look different than a standard delicata? I guess I should do a bit more homework here... But happy to free ride on the knowledge of the group.
It looks kind of like this one from the slipper board:
I would shoot her a quick email with a picture. If she says that yours is delicata, then I would go with that. She is the queen of phals and this one in particular.
Orchidweb has their own cultivar pictured on their website, Phal. lueddemanniana var. delicata ('Fernbrook' x self). The lip looks a bit broader at the tip on theirs, but that could be a matter of the angle it was shot from. The colors are slightly paler on the 'Fernbrook' x self, but again it's a different cultivar.
I found another pic of Orchidweb's cultivar more clearly showing the shape of the lip.
That is an absolutely gorgeous flower!! What r the conditions u have yours in? (as in, what do u think made it flower? ...I know w/ leuddes that there is no exact known "trigger" for flowering, according to the Bakers, but still curious, b/c I want mine to flower! Arg.... Patience...?)
