Default Phal. fasciata

I bought this as a tiny Keiki from a friend/vendor in 2010. This is it's first bloom. I'm quite pleased with it. The left lateral sepal is a bit larger than the right, but other than that I think it looks pretty good. This plant came dangereously close to being thrown out as it had/has whatever mystery disease that decimated my Phal. collection. I cut off the bad parts of the leaves and will see how it goes. It may still get tossed.

It's a nice looking flower. Too bad about your collection, did you ever figure out what the problem was?

Bill I never was able to identify what it was. Some of the plants I performed "surgery" on have survived and seem to be doing fine. They are in the minority though. Most had to be tossed. Time will tell I guess.
