Quick question... if you don't mind. Have you been able to flower your T. utriculata ssp. pringlei ?
The reason I ask is because I've been growing this one for many years and have not had this species flower to date. I really like the structure of this plant, its small size, and the grey/silver color of its leaves.
This is one of the most prolific pup producing 'Tills' in my collection. It does not take long for a single plant to transform into a large clump. I know there was a conversation about T. utriculata & T. utriculata v pringlei in regards to the pringlei variety having either polycarpic or monocarpic tendencies (along with the comment that the monocarpic form has a nickname of the "pupping clone") on an Australian bromeliad.org website some years ago. I don't think that has anything to do with flowering, but I'm not quite sure.
