Dens usually like to be snug in their pots. You could leave it til next year probably.
Either way ... I sometimes cut/break pots off of plants to minimize root damage when there are roots growing through the slots and drainage holes.
You won't kill the plant even if you were to just yank it out, breaking those roots... it has lots of others (but I would recommend a somewhat gentler approach). So, no reason to stress about it
This looks like a nobile type hybrid ... may not bloom until spring after a winter rest period ...
