Use of alcohol in raising orchids

Another thing that I remember Jerry stressing with me via e-mail years ago was that when you apply the methanol based alcohol, it should be warm and sunny. I believe warmth & light are necessary for the methanol to pull the non-urea based fertilizer directly into the plant. Also, the fertilizer must be applied to the roots/into the pot. I don't think it will work as a folliar spray. When I use Jerry's Grow, I use a little less with my Phals than I do on the Vandas & Catts. You don't want to get a bunch of weak growth by using too much fertilizer. Good Luck!
