Assume you mean LECA using S/H. I have one Masd in my collection, it shows vigorous root and leaf development in S/H, but it is in a two container setup where I can manage the height of the water level, keeping it on the wetter side. I use the traditional - holes one inch up from the bottom - containers for the ones that like to dry out slightly between waterings.
