So I transferred 2 small divisions of an encyclia ionophlebia (sp) to Primeagra today. It's my experiment. Right now there's plain water in the reservoir. I read through Ray's site and some of the info is jumbled in my mind.

I think he recommended waiting a month before introducing any fertilizers on newly transferred orchids. I don't recall if that includes rooting hormones or growth supplements. I don't recall reading anything on when we can start using Kelpak if a plant is new to semi-hydro.

Is it okay to use KLN or Kelpak to help reduce transfer stress and encourage root growth right after potting? Or should I wait a month and continue with supplying plain water?
